PURPOSE:To perform automatic welding of high productivity and stable quality by rotating laser light along the welding portion of a pipe and an end plate. CONSTITUTION:Laser light from a laser light source 10 is condensed by a condenser lens 6a through reflecting mirrors 4 and 5 as shown by the dotted lines in the figure, after which it is cast to one point in the faying portions of the pipe 11 and end plate 12 being the works. Thence, with the works 11 and 12 being held intact, a drive gear 9 is revolved by driving a drive motor 8, by which a drive gear 7 is driven and further a barrel 1a is rotated. As the barrel 1a rotates, the laser light condensed by the lens 6a is rotated along the weld line of the works, whereby the works are welded. Upon ending of the specified welding work, the barrel 1a including the motor 8 is moved up to the next welding place and the welding may be accomplished subsequently. |
