An automatic transfer appts. of work plates (9) on a chain conveyor (6), which includes a means for intermitting the tilted work plates with workpieces for a required work time and then forwarding them, comprises a detecting means (13) for the moving distance of the work plates, a power intermitting control and time setting means (14), a warning means (12) for giving warning after a required preset time, a transfer control means (15) for transmitting the power to the chain after warning, and a power intermitting means (16) cooperated with the power intermitting control and time setting means. The work plates are mounted with an inclination that the rear support (9A) is higher than the front support (9B).
