PURPOSE:To improve discharge responsiveness, discharge efficiency, discharge stability, etc. by letting a liquid for recording be discharged from a discharging orifice under the influence of the thermal energy given by a thermal-energy generating means of the construction wherein a heating part touches the liquid for recording directly. CONSTITUTION:A thermal-energy generating means 4 has a lower-part layer of a substrate 12 with excellent heat conductivity and a thin heat accumulating layer 13, while a heating-resistor layer 14 has an electrode layer 15 for impressing a signal thereto in the upper part therof. A heating part H touches a liquid for recording 2 directly in this structure. In a liquid chamber 1 pressure P is impressed to such a degree that the liquid for recording 2 is not discharged. When a signal S is impressed to the thermal-energy generating means 4 through a signal-conditioning means 3, thermal energy is given to the liquid 2. By this a sharp change occurs in the state of the liquid 2, which produces the change in pressure to discharge a part of the liquid for recroding from the discharging orifice 5 and make it fly as drips 6. |
