PURPOSE:To enable various tests on a current transformer alone, by forming a closed electric circuit in which a capacitance is provided between a grounded cylinder and a ground duct metal container and by using the circuit as a testing coil. CONSTITUTION:A through-type current transformer comprises a high-voltage conductor 2 provided in a ground duct metal container 1 hermetically filled with an insulating medium 14, a grounded cylinder 3 surrounding the conductor 2, a current transformer hold-down flange 4 fitted in the vicinity of the peripheral surface of the grounded cylinder 3, an annular wound core 5 and a secondary winding 6. A closed electric circuit is composed of a measuring terminal 13 for testing, the flange 4, the grounded cylinder 3, a lead wire 12, a cover-side testing terminal 10, a cover 11 and the container 1. The closed circuit is provided with a capacitance so that the circuit is used as a testing coil. As a result, a primary conductor does not need to be separately prepared when the polarity, characteristics, etc. of only the current transformer are tested. |
