PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording substance which is satisfactory in dispersion of magnetic material and excellent in wear-proof of a magnetic coated film, by forming a coated film consisting of magnetic material which has reformed the surface by a coupling agent, and a binder agent on the basic substance. CONSTITUTION:The surface is coated (the extent that the surface of magnetic material is coated with 1-2 molecular films is desirable.) by making a coupling agent (for instance, one functional titanate such as isopropyl-triisostearoyl-titanate, etc.) react upon magnetic material (for instance, needle-like tau-Fe2O3), and magnetic paint is prepared by mixing the foregoing by 55-97wt% against a binder agent such as polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl acetate, etc. After that, the afore-mentioned magnetic paint is applied on the basic substance (for instance, polyethylene- telephthalate film), and a magnetic layer whose thickness is several tens of mu is formed, which is made a recording substance. |
