PURPOSE:To reduce the waiting time for reading a subcode and hence to highly speed up the retrieval by controlling the rotation of a spindle motor with the synchronization of a digital audio signal during the retrieval and controlling the rotation of the spindle motor with the synchronization of a video signal during the reproducing. CONSTITUTION:The spindle motor 38 is controlled in its rotation with the synchronization of the digital audio signal during the trieval, and the spindle motor 38 is controlled in its rotation with the synchronization of the video signal during the reproducing, thud reducing the waiting time for reading the subcode after setting a servo at the time of the retrieval. Furthermore, at the time of the changing from the retrieval to the reproducing in its state under a locking state of the rotational control of the spindle motor 38 with the synchronization of the digital audio, the phase of an output of a video reference synchronization generating circuit 26 is once conformed with the phase of the synchronization of the reproduced video signal, so that when the rotational control of the spindle motor is changed in synchronization from the digital audio signal to the video signal, the phase difference between the output of the video reference synchronization generating circuit and the synchronous signal of the reproduced video signal is hence eliminated. |
