PURPOSE:To prevent sparks at the time of commutation and to eliminate radio trouble by providing auxiliary commutator segments by splitting a main commutator into plural segments by slits, wherein resistors are connected across main commutator segments and auxiliary commutator segments. CONSTITUTION:Main commutator segments C1-C3 split by main slits S1-S3 are arranged and each main commutator segment forms auxiliary commutator segments C11-C14, C21-C24, and C31-C34 split by slits, S11-S14, S21-S24 and S31-S34. A resistor R1 is connected across one side of each main commutator segment and an auxiliary commutator which adjoins the other side of each main commutator segment and resistors R2 are connected across auxiliary commutators. The resistant value is estabilshed as the relation of R1<R2. A brush B is split into a brush piece b1 connected with the main commutator segment and a brush piece b2 connected with the auxiliary commutator segment. When the commutator 1 is rotated, resistors are connected with a rotor winding in parallel through the brush B and the values are fixed to gradually become lower around the main slit S1 as a center. |
