PURPOSE:To stabilize and strengthen soil texture and to prevent erosion and weakening by a method wherein wetted soil is mixed with a powdered urethane prepolymer contg. hollow mineral powders. CONSTITUTION:An org. isocyanate cpd. such as tolylene diisocyanate or 1,4-bis phenylmethane diisocyanate is reacted with a polyether polyol consisting mainly of exyethulene chain and having an average MW of not less than 1,000 at a temp. of from a room temp. to 100 deg.C to obtain a liquid urethane prepolymer having a viscosity of 1,000-3,000cps. Then 100pts.wt. of the liquid urethane prepolymer is mixed with 80-160pts.wt. of hollow mineral powders having specific surfce area of not more than 3m<2>/g and an average particle diameter of 5-200mu, such as ''shirasu'' ballow or foamed glass, to obtain a powdered urethane prepolymer. Then 100pts.wt. of wetted soil is mixed with 2-20pts.wt. of the powdered urethane prepolymer to concrete intimately soil. |
