<p>Barred cages for holding live poultry, moulded from thermoplastics materials are provided with spacers for supporting a clearance between stacked cages, to permit adequate ventilation. Typically, the spacers are plastic mouldings, made along or by integration with the moulding of the cover or the base of the cage and shaped to interlock with or clip to the rims of the cage bodies.
