PURPOSE:To considerably improve moldability by heating the steel up to its recrystallization temperature in the heating zone of the previous stage then giving the specific amount of strain thereto and further heating the same again up to its recrystallization temperature in the heating zone of the post-stage when annealing steel strip in a continuous annealing furnace. CONSTITUTION:The steel strip 1 from an uncoiler 4 is heated up to its recrystallization temperature in the heating zone 2a of the previous stage. Next, it is subjected to compression deformation while being applied with tensile stress by the deformation giving device 3 consisting of tension bridle rolls 5a, 5b and rolling mills 6. Thence, it is again heated up to its recrystallization temperature in the heating zone 2b of the post-stage, after which it passes through an overaging treatment furnace and is taken up to a coil by way of ordinary processes. According to this method, the steel plate of soft quality and superior moldability equivalent to that by a box type annealing method may be obtained by the continuous annealing method. |
