PURPOSE:To prevent run-off of ink, simplify a structure thereof, eliminate waste of electric energy and prevent occurence of malfunction by a method wherein an ink valve is being opened only when a printer is in a printing condition or in a printing posture. CONSTITUTION:Upon printing, a spring 17 being mounted from a spring hanging portion 16 on a frame 1 to a print releasing lever spring hanging portion 18 is stretched about a center of supporting point 19 due to own weights of a printing paper 12 and the frame 1, and a protuberance 9-a of the print releasing lever, being pushed against a protuberance 1-a of the frame as shown by an arrow sign 21 normally, is displaced as shown by an arrow sign 22, thereby, the print releasing lever 9 releases an ink passage way 7. The frame 1 is lifted up normally except the time under printing, therefore, the pring releasing lever 9 is pulled into a direction of the arrow sign 21 by the spring 17, thereby, the ink passageway 7 is closed. According to this method, a variation of an ink pressure in the ink passageway is eliminated, run-off of the ink out of a nozzle 14 will not be caused and malfunction upon being operated may be prevented because opening and closing of the valve are cooperated with a condition of printing posture, thereby, reliability of an ink jet printer may be improved. |
