The enclosed luggage cover assembly (100) is for fitting on the luggage rack on the roof of a motor car (1). It is fastened by ropes (13). A base bridge (8) is arranged within the cover (6) and has a support frame (9) on both sides. Struts (10) connect the top sides of the support frame (9). The base bridge (8) has bottom spars which are supported on a luggage rack (3) while the top spars are connected by struts (10).
