PURPOSE:To prepare highly nutrious mud turtle honey containing nutritive tonic component of mud turtle, by skinning and gutting a living mud turtle, and immersing honey. CONSTITUTION:A grown mud turtle which is believed to have the highest nutritive value, is put into a fresh water tank, left to stand for about 5-10 days, washed wit water, sprayed with hot water of 60-80 deg.C, and skinned while it is still alive. The internals such as the bladder are removed, the flesh is washed with water, and the attached water is wiped off. 1 pt.wt. of the mud turtle flesh thus prepared is immersed in about 3 parts of honey for 7-12 days at room temperature, and stored. |
