Single-lever water mixer for e.g. showers - has two ceramic discs with inlet and outlet holes with variable degrees of alignment

The single-lever water mixer has a ceramic disc (1) with a hole (2) through which water leaves the mixer and several holes through which water enters the mixer. A second ceramic disc (6) with a blind hole (7) is arranged so that only one or two of the inlet holes lead to the outlet hole. Rotating the second disc w. r. t. the first presents a range of mixing ratios between any two adjacent inlet holes and therefor a range of outlet water temps. If there are three outlet holes they are connected to cold water (40 degrees C), warm water (>40 degrees C, 70 degrees C) and hot water (>70 degrees C).
