<p>The mechanism shuts off the drive and activates the arrester mechanism of an indirectly-driven hydraulic lift, where a rope supporting the lift cage is reeved round a pulley on the hydraulic ram piston rod. At one end, the rope (10, 11) is attached to the arms (23, 24) of a rocker beam (22) attached at the centre to the cage, and at the other to a point near the ram bracket (41), so that the lifting force of the ram (12) is exerted via the piston rod (13), pulley (19, 20) and rope on the beam. When the latter moves from a neutral position, it actuates a control mechanism (27-38) activating the arrester (7) and shutting off the drive.</p> |
