PURPOSE:A shell reinforcing agent (R) having the reinforcing action without lowering the egg production index, comprising powdered oystershells, a specific amino acid, and a formula feed containing R. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. of powdered oystershells having a grain size <=4mm, preferably about 2mm, is incroporated witn 1-15pts.wt. of at least one type of amino acid selected from the group consisting of methionine, lysine, and glycine, and if necessary magnesium phosphate, vitamins, or a base to give the title agent. 1-2pts.wt. of the agent may be added to 100pts.wt. of a formula feed for laying hens. |
