The ready folding carton box (1) consists of a one-piece blank with a bottom panel (3), two side panels (4), and two end panels (7). The side panels have folds (5) at 45 deg. extending to the bottom corners, forming triangular flaps (6) at the corners. The end panels have lat erally extending flaps (8) for adhesive connection inside the triangular flaps. In the flat knock-down position, the blank is rectangular with a pair of parallel folds (15, 16, 18, 19) extending over its full length and width respectively and intersecting at the bottom corners. An extension (9) of each end panel is folded (17) inwards and has end flaps (10) serving as corner stiffeners.
