An adjustable fresh air jet for a vehicle has a cylindrical moulding pivoted with its axis parallel to the bulkhead and with a grille insert (15) in one part of the cylinder. The top of the cylinder is cut away (B) to provide an air entry face inside the air duct, while part of the curved face is closed (31) to provide a shut off valve when the cylinder is tilted. The cylinder provides an adjustable air jet grille with two components and with a simple flow control. If the valve is turned further past the sealed position a small gap opens providing an unobstructed airflow.
