PURPOSE:To realize the high-accuracy detection only for the TE21 mode wave by combining magic T with the directional coupler type TE21 mode coupler in which the coupling element rows are distributed to the circular waveguide symmetrically and in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION:Coupling elements 2a-2d are distributed on the circumference of main circular waveguide 1, and rectangular secondary waveguides 3a-3d are connected to each coupling element. And each output is supplied to magics T7a- 7c. Then the propagation waves of waveguides 3a-3c are applied to magic T7a. And as a result, the mixture wave of the TE21 mode and the TM01 mode is obtained at the output of one end of T7a along with the TE11 mode wave obtained at the other output each. On the other hand, with application of the propagation waves of 3a and 3b to magic T7b, the mixture wave of the TE21 mode and TM01 mode is obtained at one output of T7b along with the TE11 mode wave obtained at the other output respectively. Thus only the TE21 mode is obtained at one output of magic T7c. |
