A controllable phase shifting cct. suitable for providing tint control in a color television system is composed of a source(T1) of 1st alternating signals(M), a source(T2) of 2nd alternating signals(P) in predetermined phase relation with the 1st signals, 1st and 2nd amplifier means(130,110) having a signal input coupled to the source of 1st signals, and a gain control input, cct. means(137) coupled from the 2nd source of signals to the signal input of the 1st amplying means and combining means(115,116) for summing output signals from the 1st and 2nd amplifier means.
