The invention concerns a method for production of pilled, granulated or encrusted seed with the use of inorganic and/or organic substances, wherein the untreated seed is divided into fractions according to certain parameters, such as grain size, grain shape, density, surface texture, these fractions are separately moistened and treated with a special envelope substance for the fraction, after which the treated fractions are mixed together and dried. The special envelope substances contain coarse-grained, long-fibred, or fine-grained, short-fibred materials, or greater or lesser water capacity, or substances with greater or lesser adhesion force, or with suitable quantities of hydrophobic or hydrophilic materials, growth stimulating substances, or substances with various depth of colour. |
