In a spinning appts. for producing synthetic fiber sprovided with at least one spinning unit including a take up device mounted on a base floor below the spinning duct, a first work space for threading the fiber onto the takeup device being provided on the base floor in front of the takeup device, and a hand held aspirating type of suction gun disposed in the first work space for taking up the free end of the yarn, an improvement comprises means located adjacent conduit for carring exhaust air and waste yarns from the suction gun in such a condition that the conduit are capable of being freely pulled out therefrom.
