PURPOSE:To improve charge and discharge characteristics and to minimize deterioration of cycle capacity by using LiMn2O4, as a positive pole active material, which is obtained by baking lithium carbonate with MnO2 having a diffraction X-ray peak of (110) face in the vicinity of the angle of diffraction, 2theta=36.3 deg. by X-ray diffraction, at desired temperatures. CONSTITUTION:MnO2 having a diffraction X-ray peak of (110) face in the vicinity of the angle of diffraction, 2theta=36.3 deg. by X-ray diffraction has a pyramidal quadratic system rutile crystal structure and is greatly stable. Thus, LiMn2O4 obtained by baking this MnO2 with Lithium carbonate at 400-600 deg.C is used as a positive pole 5 active material. Consequently, it is possible to acquire excellent charge and discharge characteristics and to minimize deterioration of cycle capacity. |
