发明名称 ALLOYING ELEMENT ADDING METHOD IN INGOT MAKING
摘要 PURPOSE:To add alloying elements in a high yield, in molten steel bottom pouring and ingot making, by suspending a cylindrical container packed with the elements in a mold; sealing the mold interior with an inert gas; and dissolving the elements in molten steel rising from the mold bottom. CONSTITUTION:Cylindrical container 11 such as iron pipe is set in bottom pouring mold 1 with support rod 10. The diameter of container 11 is made about equal to that of rising portion 2b of a steel bath surface which has risen owing to spouting stream 2a of molten steel poured. Container 11 is made of steel sheet so that it is readily melted when contacted to molten steel, necessary alloying elements are packed into container 11, and the bottom is closed with plate 11a. The top is also closed with lid 11b, and molten steel is bottom-cast while introducing an inert gas such as Ar through pipe 12. Since there is not oxygen in container 11, the elements are added to the steel in a high yield without oxidation.
