PURPOSE:To form uniform rolling-oil coating on the surface of rolls without causing rebound of the oil, by spraying from nozzles atomized rolling oil electrified by high voltage on the surface of the rolls to form rolling-oil coating. CONSTITUTION:Rolling oil is atomized by nozzles 4, 4, electrified at a high voltage by electrodes 6, 6' across which high voltage is applied, and is adhered 5, 5' to the surfaces of rolls 2, 2'. Being an electrostatic coating type, this method causes to form uniform oil coating which exhibits excellent ductility and tackiness, thereby preventing loss of the rolling oil, local abrasion of rolls, and improving the result of rolling. |
