ELECTROMAGNETIC DRIVING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To increase operating force and retaining force by providing a rotor between the magnetic poles of a stator having different polarities so that the rotor can angularly move back and forth, and forming the magnetic poles of different polarities on both sides of the rotor. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic poles 2 and 3 having different polarities are formed in a stator 1 cimprising a U-shaped yoke by the excitation of a coil 4. On the other hand, a rotor 6 is provided so that back-and-forth angular movement can be made with a shaft 5 being the center. The rotor 6 has a permanent magnet 7 to both side of which an n-pole plate 8 and an S-pole plate 9 are fixed. When the coil 4 is excited, the left side of the N-pole plate 8 is attracted by the magnetic pole 3 and repelled by the magnetic pole 2 at the same time; and the right-side of the S-pole plate 9 is attracted by the magnetic pole 2 on the N-pole side. Therefore, large operating force is obtained by the overlapping of the attracting force and repelling force. Since there is no gap in the magnetic path, the retaining force after attraction can be made large.
