<p>The ball game uses a case, held in the hand, to throw and catch balls (15, 16, 17). The case consists of two cylinders (1, 2), closed at one end, joined by a hinge (3) at their open obliquely cut ends (8, 9). The cylinders can rotate to give an angle of about 90 deg. between the ends for catching or an angle of 120 deg. for throwing. The base of each cylinder has a layer of shock absorbing material on either side of the hinge, leaving a central hollow (14) for positioning the ball (15). The closed ends of the cylinders are extended by handles (6, 7).</p> |
