<p>PURPOSE:To reduce tension of a tape in the stop mode by providing a means which slackens the tape temporarily for switching from the high-speed feeding mode to the stop mode. CONSTITUTION:In the fast feeding mode of magnetic tape 13, plunger 46 is activated to move slider 31 for brake control to the left. When a stop button is operated in the fast feeding mode, the VTR is switched to the stop mode, and runnning of magnetic tape 13 stops rapidly, and plunger 46 is inactivated, and brake levers 25 and 26 are rotated by coil springs 29 and 30 respectively to damp reels 11 and 12. At this time, plunger 50 is activated at a prescribed time, for example, 0.1 second after the operation of the stop button for the purpose of relaxing rapid rise of tape tension, and damping of reels 11 and 12 is released temporarily to reduce tension of magnetic tape 13.</p> |
