PURPOSE:To reproduce information without pollution of the recording face of a disc by rotating and driving the disc in a completely sealed cassette, where the high- density information recording disc is stored rotatably, by magnetic induction and by detecting optically information recorded on the disc. CONSTITUTION:Recording disc 11 is stored rotatably in transparent sealed cassette 12, and permanent magnet 13 is fitted to the lower face of disc 11. Permanent magnet 16 is provided also on the turntable fitted to shaft 14a of motor 14. When motor 14 is rotated, disc 11 is rotated in the same direction due to action of magnets 16 and 13; and at this time, when laser pickup 17 irradiates the laser light onto the recording face of disc 11, the reflection light corresponding to recorded information is incident onto pickup 17, and this information is supplied to a video unit, etc., by demodulation circuit 19. |
