The connector comprises a sealed cylindrical unit (10) containing sealed electrical connection points (18, 20) at opposite ends. The unit fits through a hole in the casing (14) of the sealed equipment (e.g. a compressor) such that one set of connection points is on the inside and the other on the outside. The unit has a circular slot (34) around its circumference. The slot has overhanging edges forming a rounded T shape. A ring (24) fits around the unit and has a rounded T-shaped projection (36) on its inside circumference that fits into the slot. The ring is bolted (28) to the casing of the equipment. The T-shaped projection forms a tight seal with the slot and may be coated with adhesive.
