A premixing type burner used as the heat source of a hot water unit or a hot air blower. The conventional premixing type burner of this type possesses a flame port (4) including a number of slit-like flame ports (5) disposed perpendicularly with respect to the wall of a combustion chamber, wherein the flame port (4) is formed thin at the end and thick at the central portion with a flat flame port surface. A passage (2) is so provided as to supply secondary air toward the central side of the flame port. Such a burner incorporated poor ignitability or generates a resonant sound. When the flame formed at the name port (5) is operated as small ignition flame, an ignition is preferably conducted, but it generates a resonant sound. When the name formed at the flame port (5) is as large ignition flame, the ignition is deteriorated, but does not generate the resonant sound. This invention contemplates to provide a premixing type burner in view of this point. That is, a projection (41) forming a gap (42) becoming the flame port is provided between the wall (15) of the combustion chamber and the flame port surface in the vicinity of the wall (15) to form the ignition flame at the flame port (5) except at the gap (42) to thereby improve the ignition and to form the flame (preferably large flame) for preventing the turbulence of the ignition flame in the gap (42) so as to prevent the resonant sound. |
