An optoelectronic display showing guitar finger grip tables for use in teaching. The playing of guitars enable simplified locating of a defined table and can show all grip table variants in a single display. It is also applicable to teaching the banjo and mandolin. The table contents are accessed from a r.o.m. in multiplex operation for display on an optoelectronic indicator matrix arranged for grip table representation. The number of different finger tables contained in the memory is 288. The selection of the required finger table is performed by operating suitable switches or keys. The tables being displayed can be rapidly changed for another which is automatically presented at the same place, thus facilitating learning the different finger variations and modifications.
