Two press rollers (1) are asymmetrically arranged in a vertical annular die. The points of contact of the two press rollers (1) on the die (2) enclose an angle of 150 DEG to 170 DEG . This ensures that deleterious load peaks in important functional elements of the press unit are avoided and favourable drawing-in conditions for the material to be pressed are created.
