<p>A device (6) for supplying parcels and similar articles individually to another transport or conveying means (1), the device preferably being a supplying device for a continuously driven conveyor on which each parcel (9) after arrival on to the conveyor (1) has to take up a predetermined geometrical position and whereby the original velocity of each parcel (9) - including the velocity zero - substantially differs from the velocity of the conveying means, wherein the device is provided with drive means (14) which is adapted in a controlled manner to change the velocity of the supplying device (6) so that the acceleration resulting thereof is insufficient to make a parcel (9) on the supplying device (6) to glide or overturn. Thereby is obtained an exact positioning of the parcel (9) on the conveyor (1) and simultaneously the conveying speed of the conveyor (1) is not upper limited by the supplying method for the parcel (9). </p> |
