<p>The period of a nuclear reactor is supervised by generation of a reference signal, R, which is compared with the power signal, S, and, depending on the results, an outgoing signal, R1, which influences R to follows S is generated. The time derivative of R is set not to be greater than the max, allowed derivative for S and if the power increases so fast that the level of S is different from that of R and alarm level signal, L, is generated. The level of L corresponds to that of R multiplied by a factor (a) greater than 1. An alarm signal starts if the level of S is the same or greater than that of L. A device for monitoring the reactor period is also claimed. The method is partic. suitable for monitoring a power signal comprising several linear areas, e.g. the IRM part of the SRM-IRM system.</p> |
