Refuse transport and compacting system - has large container with hydraulic door and unloading ram and trough with compacting and loading ram

The refuse transport system comprises large-capacity elongated, pref. round-section containers capable of holding the compacted refuse and having a hinged door for loading and unloading at one end. An axially slidable, pref. hydraulically operated, ram disc in the container serves to unload it. Refuse collecting vehicles discharge in a trough-shaped bunker provided with hydraulic ram to compact the refuse and load it into the containers. A mobile hydraulic unit can be coupled to the container to actuate its ram and door. The containers may be transported by road, rail or water and are pref. stackable.
