A metal pipe (21), which is to be protected from high temperature and from the attack of molten metals and slags, is protected by an exterior lining consisting of a refractory ceramic composition which has been moulded between two coaxially placed tubes (25, 26). The inner tube (25) and preferably also the outer tube is a thin-walled metal tube permitting the lining to slide on the metal pipe (21) on thermal movements. |
