PURPOSE:To control the amount of steam generated promptly and accurately for disposing water injection nozzles for ejecting spray water at the inlet of boiler, and to thereby omit means such as gas cooling chamber or the like. CONSTITUTION:Substances to be incinerated are put into a hopper 1 and then carried to an incinerator via by a feeder 2. After the substances are dried, combusted and after-combusted respectively in stokers 3-5, residue after combustion is discharged to the outside from ash outlet 12. Air required for combustion is supplied from a plurality of wind boxes 8 after it is compressed by a force draft fan 6 and heated by an air pre-heater 7. On the other hand, high-temperature gas produced in the incinerator is carried into a boiler consisting of water-cooled wall 10 and water pipes 11 and exchanges heat with fine particles of water sprayed from water injection nozzles 9 disposed at the inlet of boiler in a direction constant to the gas flow. The amount of steam thus produced is measured by a flow meter 18 and controlled through operation of a controlling valve 19 for controlling the amount of water to be injected. |
