A standby windscreen washer has a flexible pipe linked to a flexible fluid bottle inside the car. The pipe is applied along the top edge of the windscreen and is attached by suction pads. The fluid is forced through the pipe by hand squeezing of the fluid bottle. The system serves as a standby washer fitted without any modifications to the vehicle. It can be carried in the tool kit and fitted when the conventional washer fails. The pipe is fed out of the slightly opened side window and the jet is angled as required. Fresh fluid is added simply by unscrewing the bottle from the pipe.
