<p>The ratchet head (2) has a cylindrical recess in which a tool carrier element (4) is fitted rotatably. The upper part of the tool carrier (4) has axial notches (6) distributed on its periphery. The notches are resting places for the correspondingly shaped tips of locking arms (7, 8) with thier other end seated in sockets (10, 11). The arms have lateral extensions (7b, 8b) against the undersides of which the shanks of spring (9) are resting keeping the two arms (7, 8) parallel with their tips locking the ratchet mechanism in both directions. By turning, for instance switch lever (15) in direction (22) the arm (7) is disengaged from the notch (6) and a bolt or a nut attached to the tool carrier (4) can be tightened in direction (24), while in the opposite direction the spanner can be freely rotated.</p> |
