<p>Connections between printed circuits are formed by making a pattern of holes through the printed circuit boards, so that connecting pins can be inserted through them. The boards are spaced apart with their conductors parallel, and plugs carrying the pins are used for the connections. In the spaces between the boards are inserted insulating plates with holes larger than the pin insertion holes in the boards. The edges of these holes are laminated with copper to ensure good contact for the spring contacts between the boards. For increased strength and improved conductivity the copper coating is also galvanised. The holes in the printed circuit boards are completely or partly contacted.</p> |
