The comb (8) with its teeth (4) is allowed to intrude slightly into a rotating grinding brush (1) which has bristles tiped with hard material or consists of a fabric impregnated with hard grinding material. When the comb is inserted into the brush (1), it is continuously rotated about an axis (5) running in the direction of the teeth (4). Useful for treating combs which are made with teeth consisting of hardened steel. In use roughening of the skin is avoided. The comb may be used in ladies razors.
