Guide rail for vehicle sliding door - has rubber mountings for securing to inside of door

A sliding door gear for a vehicle has a U shaped guide rail (1) mounted on the inside of the door, facing the car on two rubber mounts (2) and coupled to the vehicle by ball bearing guided fittings (9) inside the rail. The elastic mounts absorb road vibrations and prevent straining of the sliding gear. The two elastic mounts replace a line of fitting screws which would require accurate alignment if no distortion of the rail is to occur. The mountings have profiled outer shells (2) which are welded to the top of the rail, and inner elastic sleeves (4) threaded over securing pins.
