L-arginine prepn - by fermentation of microbacterium ammoniaphilum aj 3353

<p>Prepn. of L-arginine by fermentation of Microbacterium, esp. M. ammoniaphilum AJ 3353 (FERM-976) and isolation of arginine from the brew by conventional methods gives improved yields, esp. with a medium contg. >1000 mu g/ml. of 2-thiazolyl-alanine. Aerobic fermentation at pH 5 to 9 for 2 to 7 days at 24-37 degrees C gives the best yields.</p>
