PURPOSE:To provide a method for accurate cutting of spherical surface of the work which has a radius of a given curvature by passing a cutting tool shaft through the center of the virtual sphere with its shaft set on the shaft of the work with an inclined angle of theta and rotating the work and cutting tool. CONSTITUTION:A cutting tool 2 is provided with several knife edges 2' the inside edge of which is so designed as to be able to cut the work. Cutting tool 2 is set on the center O of the work 1 by passing its shaft through the spherical center with an inclined angle of theta. When the work 1 and cutting tool 2 are rotated, the work 1 can be cut into a convex surface with the inside edge of the cutting tool 2. |
