PURPOSE:To make a car travel smoothly by the method wherein the counter electromotive force of a ''primary-side-on-the-ground'' type linear synchronous motor is detected during the period when the supply of current to a cycloconverter is stopped, and a current pattern synchronizing with the position of the car is generated and is fed to a ground coil. CONSTITUTION:Signal A of the period during which the supply of current to the cycloconverter 41 is stopped and output voltage signal B are inputted to gate circuit 31 and signal C corresponding to the electromotive force of the ground coil is obtained. By means of arithmetic circuit 35 and level check circuit 36, the voltage level variation depending on the frequency is corrected, and thereby the portion of standardized electromotive force is obtained. The polarity of the sinusoidal wave outputted by a three-phase sinusoidal wave generator 40 and the discrimination result of discriminator circuit 32 are discriminated by same polarity discriminator circuit 37, and thereby a correction signal is obtained by correction amount calculating circuit 38. Speed calculation circuit 33 calculates the car speed from light position signal D, and the calculated value is corrected by addition circuit 39 and it is fed to the sinusoidal wave generator 40, and thereby a sinusoidal wave of frequency corresponding to the speed signal is generated, and a sinusoidal wave of the same phase is power-converted by cycloconverter 41 and is fed to the ground coil. |
