PURPOSE:To realize mass production of connectors, by injecting molding resin in the state in which continuously supplied wire rod is coaxially inserted in mold pattern, and setting and forming, then drawing out a plug from a mold pattern, thus repeating these processes. CONSTITUTION:Stainless steel material 13 of which diameter is larger than optical fiber by about 2-5mu is continuously supplied from a wire rod inlet 14 of mold pattern, and is inserted coaxially in the mold pattern. In this state, low pressure molding resin material is injected from a resin injection port 12 provided in a gate 11. After setting the resin, the hardened and molded plug is drawn out from the mold pattern, and, in succession, wire rod 13 is coaxially inserted in the mold pattern 10, and low pressure molding resin is injected and set. Thus, the continuously molded plug is divided into separate plugs by cutting the wire rod 13, and the wire rod is drawn out to obtain plugs 15 having an optical fiber inlet 16 of specified size in the specified position. |
