PURPOSE:To enhance the durability of a photoreceptor by interposing a polyurethane elastomer adhesive layer between a support and an organic silver salt photosensitive layer to make the support adhere to the layer firmly. CONSTITUTION:On a support such as Al foil a polyurethane elastomer adhesive layer is laid consisting of a multifunctional hydrogen-containing compound such as polyester or polyether and a polyisocyanate such as trilene diisocyanate optionally together with a crosslinking agent such as diamine. A photosensitive layer containing an organic silver salt such as silver behenate or a mercapto compound of silver, halide which reacts with the silver slat to form silver halide, and a reducing agent such as hydroquinone which reduces the silver halide to liberate metallic Ag is then formed using cellulose acetate or the like as a binder. Thus, an organic silver salt photoreceptor used as an electrostatic printing master is obtained. The urethane elastomer results in higher bonding strength and enhances the printing resistance of the master. |
