<p>An electrical switch comprises a housing (1, 2) containing a linearly slidable carriage (10) carrying a contact structure (15) which makes contact with fixed contacts (3) carried by a base (2) of the housing (1). Carriage positions relative to the housing (1, 2) are determined by detent means (9, 13, 14) operating between the carriage (10) and the housing (1, 2). The carriage (10) is designed to be inertially balanced within the housing (1, 2).</p> |
