The device is used for the storage and metered release of liquids (F) in order to maintain a constant liquid level (S) in a vessel (M). For this purpose, a tank (10) with at least one opening (11, 12, 13) is provided and can turn about an axis of rotation, and the opening can be moved from an upper non-operational position into a lower operational position. The non-operational position is used for filling the tank (10) with liquid, and the operational position is used for automatic metered release of the liquid. The opening (11, 12, 13) can be closed off or made smaller by means of an automatic closure element. A liquid-treatment cartridge can be arranged on the tank.
